August in Singapore

Filed under: Perceptual Healing Questions, Denise's Travel — admin @ 6:03 am

Hello from a wet, hot Singapore.  To you Singaporeans this weather is probably not unusually, but for this NorCAL girl…well, I’m getting used to this!

This is a short update since someone pointed out that I am in Singapore and it’s not on my Blog.

Let’s talk about vacations.  Where do you go to get away from it all, to have fun, to be with family and friends?  Do you take a long weekend?  Two weeks? A month?

Let me know…

Next Adventure

I’m heading off to Minnesota this weekend.  It’s a short trip but I wll be catching up with some friends during my down time.  I was hoping for some warmth but it seems it’s been snowing up there –still–some more–again. LOL

I’m giving a 2-hour talk on Perceptual Healing on Friday evening.  If you are intersted let me know and I’ll give you details.  I’d love to see you!

I’m off to get packed.  Have a warm, sunny day.

Endings and Beginnings

Filed under: General News — admin @ 11:29 am

Hello to All,
It’s Sunday evening and you can find me at the Hilton Garden Inn in Houston Texas.  It’s the end of my work week, the end of my class, the end of my day.  It is also the end of a pleasant association with a dear woman who has assisted me for the last year.  For this day is a beginning for her and for me it is an end.
I have been reflecting on the many endings and beginnings in my life searching these events for signs of accomplishment, joy, even greatness.  Looking into all of the endings for the new beginnings that I know must follow, yet I’m finding voids of starting, the pause between the end like a well needed rest before the full beginning starts.  As I perceive these moments of pause, they are well deserved almost reflecting a moment of cautious breathing, not panic but uncertainity.  Then the deep breath as the time to begin a new becomes apparent.
Are we ever ready for endings or beginings?  I’ll have to ponder that question on a flight tomorrow.  For now the end of my day, my bed and sleep beckons me, that pause before the new begining known as day.
Good Night from the energetic fast lane,
Denise

Connectivity

What a month!  I’ve been without my travel computer for three weeks which has brought up two dividing feelings in me.

The first is FREEDOM.  It has been wonderful to sail through TSA airport security without unloading my computer. I’ve felt light, airy, unencumbered and really I can move through airports much faster.  It has also been wonderful not to feel chained to answering emails, wading through “junk mail” or reading the lastest cure on line. I haven’t felt unfaithful to anyone emailing me as I do respond to my emails when I’m available.  This has been a deeper feeling of freedom, more a freedom from technology chains.

The flip side to this feeling of freedom is that of feeling out of COMMUNICATION.  I rely on my computer to get my airline boarding pass, confirm my travel plans, find out where to get tickets (I missed the Bruce Springsteen Concert Saturday night in Seattle because I didn’t have web access in my little hotel!), and just generally keep up with the news of the world.  I had no idea of what was happening while I was on the road these past three weeks.  The calm of freedom was occassionally replaced by the feeling of concern for what was happening beyond myself.

Now my computer is back, all fixed, all together again.  I leave for Calgary, ALB on Thursday and I’m looking forward to the feeling of sliding my computer from it’s neoprene skin cover and laying it in the TSA plastic tub so that it can be scanned for “weapons of mass destruction” before I get on the plane.  If I’ve learned anything about Freedom and Communication it’s that both are my choice.  Technology at it’s best is developed and expanded to service us humans not the other way around.  I choose experience the joy of owning a light weight computer that travels with me to make my life easier, to make information literally “at my fingertips”.  There is joy in communication and freedom in knowledge!

What are your thoughts?

Above all…

I just finished teaching a class in Amsterdam, it was one of three I’m teaching over the next two weeks.  I want to pose an observation about people and see what any of you might think…if there really is anyone out there reading this.

With each visit here and with all of the teaching I do here, I have come to think of the Netherlands as a “home away from home”.  While I don’t speak the language I feel no different here than I do in America.  I still greet people, talk about the weather, laugh about politics and am as concerned as anyone else about the growing crime rate in the Netherlands.  This feeling of “home” and belonging is true for me when I’m in Japan, Canada, Mexico, Belguim, South Africa!  People around the world have the same concerns, the same hopes, and many of the same responsibilities.  As much as miles keep people apart physically, the energy of life in all people brings us together and holds us in a space of oneness. I believe this energic bond-universal love, if you will- is the unity of all living beings.  The bond I speak of keeps us aware, concerned and above all engaged in the development of all life.

What do you think? Are we global enough to hold all human life, all animal and plant life as a sacred bond? How do you feel connected to the world beyond you?

Take a look at my Perceptual Healing Poll and let me know what you think about healing as well.

Flying the Friendly Skies

As many of you already know I fly an average of three weekends of every month for my job with Quantum-Touch.  On my way to Holland this trip I had a special treat…I was talking with the pilots on the ground, mentioning that it is on my LIFE LIST to learn to fly a small plane.  They were so excited they asked me if I wanted to sit in the pilot seat.  Well, how could I refuse that offer.  As you can see they gave me everything I would need to fly that plane-a capitans hat, instructions, and Starbuck’s coffee.  We chatted about what I do for a living and how I travel all over the world teaching.  We were having a wonderful time until the flight attendent came in and said we had to get in the air and I needed to be in my seat.

On the road again

I’m in a very windy and cold Amsterdam.  The energy here is  softer than I’ve felt it in a long time.  While the sky is grey and sleepy the movement of the people in the street market this morning was gentle, colorful and warm.  I’m not a large city fan but there is a vibe that draws me to these mega places.  I am in awe of the old buildings, the many streets, the smells, the beauty and the ugliness too.  I feel alive when I’m in large cities-New York, Paris, Tokyo.  In that aliveness there is a sense of smallness.  I feel small and yet at the same time large enough to connect to everything that is here.  I love that feeling, it brings me peace.
If you are taking my class this weekend then I’ll see you tomorrow.  If you are here to find out where I am and want to connect with me- send me your comments, I’d love to hear from you.

Hi,

I look forward to traveling and sharing my experiences with you.  I’m packing for my next journey to the Netherlands for Quantum Touch.  I’m teaching three Supercharge classes in and around Amsterdam and Utrecht.

Anyone out there reading this, I don’t speak Dutch but I’d love to hear from you.  I’ll be on the plane all day Wednesday.  But of course I’ll talk with you from airport gates.

Finally, it’s here. A space where we can exchange ideas and get together. Since I’m on the road so much I intend this to be the space I can let you know where I am and what’s going on. I would love your responses and I’ll encourage you to “find” me so we can talk live.
If you aren’t where I am, please send me your commments, discoveries and concerns to be posted here for continued conversation.
I look forward to a lively chain of discussion.
From the Energetic Fast Lane,
Denise
